In 2015, Dr.
Karen Cox graduated from the University of South Florida with a
Bachelor of Science in Biology with focus in Molecular Cellular
Biology before continuing on to complete her Masters in Acupuncture &
Oriental Medicine at the East West College of Natural Medicine. She
is a Nationally Board Certified & Licensed Acupuncture Physician,
Doctor of Oriental Medicine, and Medical Massage & Bodywork
Practitioner. As a practitioner she focused her training in advanced
myofascial bodywork and structural re-integration, in order to treat
a variety of acute and chronic degenerative pain conditions. The
theory behind her style of diagnosis and treatment has a deep
connection to her understanding of the myofascial web of structural
connective tissue, which permeates every system of the body.
Dr. Cox
believes in the combined healing power of Acupuncture & Medical
Massage to release the adhesions/restrictions within a patient’s
fascial matrix which may be negatively affecting their overall
physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Dr. Cox is a
Community Care Provider in the Veteran Affairs Network offering
Acupuncture and Medical Massage for Veterans in Bradenton and Greater
Tampa Bay Area.
